    For the record

1, The board is not being Pulled
The Promise site and message board is one of the busiest and most popular sites in club land,
I have no intention of letting a small minority spoil that

2, The changes to the board i.e. No what’s on section, no Sigs Is to insure that people who want to come on to enjoy the board can do so,
People who want to use the board For there own gain will not be able to so therefore will have no reason to come on

3, The talk of Promise in Crisis is laughable
We have just done The 1 Big weekend Afterpartys With radio1
Over the last two years Promise has been the Busiest Friday in Newcastle (Townie Nights excluded)
We have the biggest dj, s, Best Production, Best venue; People like Jules, Tall Paul, Eddie, and G+ d, Ferry Rate it as one of the best nights in the country
On average we get 1100 People though the doors, more than Hed Kandi And Wax On
In fact our last two gigs have averaged 1400 people
How this is a night in crisis is beyond me
Oh and I don’t have a Problem with either night in fact I welcome strong nights on a Friday at foundation.

4, My Problems with certain people are as Follows,
I’m a realist and a business man I understand fully that people Grow into other forms of music, Fashion etc I Don’t have a Problem with this
As most will know I don’t sit at home listening to trance music
What I do have a problem with are the people who have moved on Continuously Sniping at trance/promise etc
If you don’t like it why come on, Move on let the People who enjoy it, Do just that, Enjoy it
If trance is dead how come the top dj’s all play trance

5, what’s on was pulled because of a general disrespect for what we tried to do there
Critism of shindig was not relevant to the decision,
    It just was not working
As was the sigs, they were there as some people used them to put humorous or profound statements on, whatever they liked really
They were not there for People to list all there gigs nights etc
    That’s why they have gone

6, The funny thing is the people that caused the demise of what’s on and sigs are the people with most to lose
If people had not deliberately tried to wind me up it would still be there

7, I will readily admit to over reacting at time
If you had put 5 years of your life into something for it then to be slated by people who know nothing of running a large-scale night, you would do the same
My comments about board members being clueless was made with my tongue very firmly in my cheek
If people took offence I apologize for that
Over the 5 years of Promise I have embraced the message board, Allowing people to come backstage, giving people guest lists/jobs etc the list is endless
To see the same people throw it back in my face just because they have gone off trance Hurts

8, As far as other north east nights are concerned I think we have done as much as anyone to support the scene
I have good relationships with all the local promoters
The joke about waxdig was simply that, a joke
I think what wax on are doing is great .

I Hope this Clears up a lot that has been Said and done over the last few months
I appreciate all your support and custom
    Long live Promise
