    Gabriel and Dresden

I reckon these two keep going from strength to strength.

Both times ive seen em play live they have impressed me. Both times they've played off CD's and Ableton Live.

Their remixes just keep getting better - No One on Earth Remix is the tune of the year for me. Productionwise they have this nice fluffy edge to them that we dont really hear from european producers much... and when they get it right - its brilliant (Josh Gabriel - Alive, for example)

And Bloom is probably one of my most played albums this year - CD2 despite having some off moments just keeps growing on me.

Their DJ sets have this great feel to them right now - Kinda proggy, kinda techy but feel good trance at the same time. As someone who is a bit bored with typical trance sets these days - this is a refreshing change.

They are definately in my top list of DJ's ill make an effort to go and see these days :)

Bit of a pointless thread "feel the love" thread but hey :)

good at promise, but a bit wishy washy..

awful at creamfields, couldnt hold the crowd.. even 'take me away' failed to save their set

they even played a 'tumbleweed' sample

there's another crackin dido remix they did on a M.o.S. 'Future' broadcast that Guy O plays from June... not heard it since, just the A&B of 'sand in my shoe'.. it's not that - but it's a CLASS remix...

brid - u on MSN - i could send u it for your listening pleasure!

Yeah im on MSN phil :y:

Scruf - Yeah i agree they are totally lost on big club crowds and the average 'trance' market - I'd say you'd need a more proggy fanbase to really enjoy it.

Case in point last week at Turnmills when they were on - the atmosphere was incredible. But at promise it just wasnt happening eh.

They do need a bit of tweaking when it comes to set programming - they have a bit of a knack of killing a set with a few really crappily selected tunes ...

Some dj's are never gonna work at arena gigs - lets face it.

And the Promise crowd have pretty narrow tastes when it comes to going left or right of centre of the typical trance jock list - BOARD MEMBERS AND REGULARS ASIDE.
