GAS or PETROL no no not what u were thinking for ure car whats the best? i.e using gas altho is smells :fart: does it make ure car go any slower then with petrol? coz we use gas forklifts at work and altho quite smelly (unless you like the smell of gas of-course) they run pretty darn fast BY GAS I MEAN THAT L.P.G STUFF just covering my back incase sum1 crys and hacks me account
Re: GAS or PETROL My mate had a taxi that ran on LPG/Petrol. When running on LPG it is a bit slower and gets worse MPG but the price of lpg still makes it cheaper per mile. If you need to accelerate you can always select petrol then switch back once you've done.
Conversions aint really cheap but i think they pay off in the long run. particularly if u have a big 4x4 or summin
My mate got a gas conversion on his BMW think for about£200, the top speed or acceration is not affected at all (well not in this case) Get a diesal and run it off cooking oil, tesco's sell the big barrels of it now!!
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: GAS or PETROL I was under the impression insurance was cheaper with LPG cars? I see how a conversion would class as a modification though, so is it cheaper with just specialist LPG insurers? Or am I totally wrong?
Re: Re: Re: GAS or PETROL LPG cars still need petrol so you have a switch to select which fuel you want to use. i think it costs £1500 to £3000 depending on the system you get.
