    geting rid of daylight saving

do you think its a good or bad idea, they might, in winter this year, decide not to put the clocks back put them forward again next year in spring then not put them back again in winter of next year so we are in line with the rest of europe.

I love this idea it means it'll be later at night for a lot longer and darker in the mornings which means i can sleep forlong get in.

I prefer summer nights to be lighter for longer, i couldn't give 2 shits about the winter to be honest, its usually dark in England during the day anyway

Isnt daylight saving putting the clocks forward?

Anyway, seems like a good idea...although truth me told I am not really bothered either way...but winter mornings will be DARK after 2 years if technically they are a hours a head....eg itll be 8am whereas before it would have been 6am...

    hmm.

whys do they want to do it?I don't understand? Surely we want to stay how we are so at leat in winter we'll get some daylight. Else we'd end up like Norway where they get only a couple or no daylight hours in winter!

Could give rise to a lot of SAD

that'd just be rediculous, why do we have to match up with Europe, We are an island!!we're not joined by any physical land matter to Europe!!!!!

It would make a lot of people very miserable i think, fair enough on the odd day you want t lie in but for people who have jobs 9-5 etc or even shift work with weird times like the poilce it's just going to drive people bonkers

If we moved the clocks forward by 2 hours, it wouldn't get light in winter until about 10am!

This doesnt change the fact that we are still part in Europe!

Having said that....not all other European countries run in the same time do they??? Alot are 1 hour ahead of us though

Mint idea, peak summer the sun won't set until about 11pm, rising about 4:45 when everyones in bed.

    winner in my books!
