GG v Promise last night..

..was conclusively banging. Lived up to its "Xtra Hard" label - as I arrived ( 10 pm? ), the hard stuff was in full effect with GRH and Shan getting the crowd going, Mark clearing the dancefloor ( JK - his set was the best HH set of the night, easily, and he had the place jumping ).

Then came Alex Kidd. Anyone who likes hard trance and hardstyle who hasn't seen this guy wants shooting - his set was full of energy and very interactive, as always. Loved it

Lab 4 - Interesting blend of live hard trance and techno. They were on the floor all night before they took to the stage for their set. The music was really good, but I was impressively tired by then, so after about 45 mins, I retired to the seats.

The fact that the place was fairly empty didn't stop the atmosphere from being good ( other than the 5 man charver huddle at the back ) - Lee managed to spot me on the floor, which was nice.

Anyone else go? What did u think?

That line-up wasn't anything special tho, was it? Neither is June's - Amber D, Lashes and Shan.

i cant help feeling this end of the dance 'scene' is finally biting the dust.. everythings becoming tired, everythings been done before, nothings fresh, been the same for the last 3 years just now it seems to be coming to a head now.. shame..

*awaits predictable backlash - including many 'promise has just gone two night a month' comments*

lab-4 are amazing, i would have loved to go if i had the money

check out scott bonds new nite ahead if u think the scene is dying...its gunna be huge

i had a really good time at tall trees last nite. was a good laugh!! wasnt that packed, but it didnt seem empty, was plenty of ppl on dance floor and space to dance too.
missed who ever was on first.

shan set was definatly best set of nite. was mint.

and lab 4 were really good as usual.

went into some big room at back of house bit think it was some wedding reception or somethin, but nobody was hardly on dance floor so we went in there for bout 15 mins, dancing to no doubt and robbie williams. lol was bit drunk. everyone prob thought we were nutters.

LAB4- well harsh and was right what the doc ordered dont think i heard harder stuff especially the last tune! bloody hell!

As always, that remix of Fuct Camera is by 'Mark Sherry'. It's on cdr at the moment, but I think it's getting a release.

the "music" was shite so i sat in went in the lights box for a bit with tim n played with the lazers then went to the reception talking to cass all night eating hotdogs and ice cream watching some fucking gimp go under on gee bee :evil: :evil: :evil: wud have went home but was waiting for an afterparty......which was deffo worth the wait
