Durable, recordable, compact, good storage (for the time).

Of course they are gash today - doesnt mean they were always gash though.

Tapes are what most people on here used to store their music on when they were kids - cheap, durable, accessible.

Yeah but even games were made on tapes back in the day so they were not that bad unless they crashed. But yeah the day has come for them to go away forever :)

They're better than vinyl in most ways. The only reason vinyl outlived tapes is because they're collectable.

Vinyl is far too big, they jump easily and the sound quality is crackly.

The only bad thing about tapes was that it was hard to find a specific song on the album.

vinyl is a far superior format, the sound quality is far better than vinyl, vinyl is a lot more versatile than tapes.

The only thing that tapes does better is records easier, but after you've done that a few times the sound quality degrades so much you can even listen to them.

There's pro's and cons for both formats. When tapes came out they were the daddy O.

no dick face!!! audio tapes are the worst audio format ever made, CD's are a good format, I think every other audio format is good, tapes are the only audio format that doesn't have a place in todays world.

Every other format that has been made in the past is still being used today so why the fuck does that not make audio tapes the worst format ever made?
