Taxes & Fees: £478.80

Airfare total: £641.60


thats £81.40 each for a return economy flight to dubai.

Airline taxes are going up again soon.
Its shocking and its mostly government tax.

I cant really complain about my booking last week altho before the taxes a single flight was £9 to Ibiza, after tax and all that carry in it come to about £25/30 i think and then the way back was about £90/100....

booking single flights like i do with trains as well, if it saves me money then so be it...

This whole tax thing is shite man. I wish they would take a bigger wedge off me at the income bit rather than this fannying around taking a decent slice off at income & then a tax for this, a tax for that. IF THEY WANT THE MONEY JUST NAIL ME ONCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dubai is a 14 hour round trip. I'd say £320 per person was pretty good value.

that aint a bad price at all for a long haul, the tax is a rip but its always been high

It depends where you fly to.
The 'one-way' thing will work inside Europe only.
Anywhere outside of europe you need to have a return to save any sort of money.

I was reading the metro this morn and read this article;

"Air fares are expected to soar this winter after it emerged that almost 60million seats worldwide have been scrapped.

Big price increases are being widely predicted as the number of available seats is being cut by seven per cent in res_ponse to the worst crisis in the aviation industry in recent times.

320 each is a mint price and i was well happy to pay it, id just rather they didnt tell me how much my government is ripping me off.
