The tone knob on my bass guitar seems to have blown and as a result the bass wont make a peep.

looks like the capacitor/resistor thingy legs have touched when the knobs been turned a bit too far

anyone recommend any guitar repair shops where i can get fixed?

try sound control or windows in the toon

I would recommend windows too.. in a little arcade centre opposite lloyds tsb in town..

I usually go to one in Wallsend but there's loads in town, just look in the yellow pages or something.

Neil that works upstairs at sound control is really good.
