    Hangover-free 'ethical' beer

Taken from my blokes copy of Arena this month ..........

Cusquena, a Peruvian bestseller is now being imported and rebranded as a boutique beer. It’s major selling point relevant to the globally minded: allegedly it inflicts no hangover (it’s chemical-free) and a portion of profits go to local charity Esperanza.

    It's worth a try :D

I dank absolutely tons of this in peru .... Even got a cusquena T-shirt :)

Not sure about the lack of hangovers.... but it was a fantastic beer none the less.

It also cost about 50p for a 750ml bottle ... no doubt it will cost 6 times as much over here.

Its quite funny how cheap local beers are re-marketed to gullible urbanites these days as 'boutique' beers.

Another example - i remember drinking 1ltr bottles of tsingtao beer in china back in 1998 .... all for 14p a bottle. Now its 3 quid a bottle thats 1/3 the size over here.

    madness.

    Cracking beer tho :)

The thing is - most of the crap we drink as our mainstream beers/wines these days is so loaded up with preservatives, additives and other 'unpure' chemicals .... thats the reason people get hangovers anyways.

Beers like stella, bud and cheap beers, as well as cheap wine like jacobs creek and ernst and julio gallow always have this really dodgy aftertastes which just lets you know your drinking crap.

These drinks arent magic, they are just more close to how they should be brewed in the first place.... chemical free.

But you're comparing the pricing of one part of the world to the next. Pricing is normally related to the economy and in this instance its a premium product :). How is your arse by the way? recovered?

Speaking of alcohol, in our collection of wedding prezzies we found a bottle of fizzy red wine !?!?!?

Is this a new thing?? Not my cup of tea that's for sure ........

Even if you add shipping, booze duty and whatnot onto it all.... it would still cost pennies.

The fact of the matter is that its just regular, cheap beer - but brewed properly. The laughable thing is that anything 'healthy' these days is marketed as some kind of premium product ... when in actual fact it has less rubbish put into it and isnt produced so it can sit in cans on shelves for months at a time and survive shipping like stella is for instance.

Feeling is returning to my arse :)
