Harry Romero was pretty good at shindig on sat night, wasnt totally rammed, probs cos of louie vega being on at beyond. good night though- blue monday once more
I thought he started off poorly but got better towards the end. There was a class bit when he looped DJ Manny Groove's back to Face U just before the kick-off then played the Martin Luther King acapella over it. Blue Monday rocked as always too. An OK night but that was all
aye, ive had better dj manny groove always sounds good in a club i actually thought jaydee- plastic dreams sounded good as well
Not forgetting "I just can't believe all the things people say....why must I deal with this s*it every f*king day!"
ahhh yes- hccr- beats vol.1 never tire of hearing that the kid creme mix of shakedown went down well too
I was quite bored for the 1st hour of his set - just seemed to be funky, disco stuff that didn't do anything for me. Made up for it in the latter part though. Wasn't the busiest like u said. The problem with the funkier DJs is that I noticed a lot more try-hards there
exactly, the likes of howells and lawler dont attract the try hards do they romero was good, though ive heard better sets there louie vega clearly took a lot of regulars away didnt he?
Probably, especially if you're into your funky stuff. Most of the try-hards probably wouldn't know who Louie Vega was! The extra 2 pound doesn't bother me but I don't think Romero is big / good enough to increase the price for. For the likes of Howells and Lawler it is still only a tenner. I think Romero will always be compared with Morillo and at playing that style of music,he isn't as good to be honest
I had a good night overall although i didn’t enjoy the way harry finished and didn’t like that doktor larger they were selling behind the bar. Bring on x-press 2 next week
