Last week i was walking through the bigg market on a night out and this german bloke started preaching to me saying i should repent my sins and open my heart to jesus and other such shit.

I was pissed to told him where to go but i cant see people being too happy about it...incidently saw someone later on shouting at him

Calling people names isn't big or hard. It's idiots like you that attach those attributes to it. I just do it because it amuses me for a few seconds, and, hopefully, sometimes amuses other people.

In reponse to how was it ignorant, I thought it was ignorant you telling the poor guy where to go, and laughing at him getting abuse. Yes, it's bound to happen, and he probably is asking for a hiding given his timing and location, but I think it's safe to assume you can lable the people giving the abuse/hiding as ignorant.

I only said like "nah, not interested, jog on" - plus, i dont believe in the slighest what he has to say so why should i have to be ultra polite about it? If i stood handing flyers out about god NOT being real do you think strong christians would casually walk on by and make no comment?

As for people who give proper abuse/actual violence...I would say that was down to being utter arseholes as opposed to ignorance.
