    help needed....

had a total fuck up with my pay this week, somehow ive been taxed more than ive recieved  im currently employed on a temp contract until december until i get my permanent one, my temp ones through kellys. i rang them and was told to ring the tax office, and they blamed kellys, saying they'd put the wrong tax code through and i would be refunded in next couple weeks. they said i didnt owe any tax from the past, cos i made a point of asking.

then kellys rang me back, saying the tax office had told them that i DID owe tax and was right to be charged that much :spangled:

gonna have to call the inland revenue later on, fucking well pissed off though been taxed well over £100 for a weeks wages, i cant owe anything as ive always paid tax since starting working.

how the fuck can the tax office tell me one thing then kellys another??

    twats

    harsh that like!
i work at the tax office and to be honest we help people out alot and get alot of thanks for it.

if u need to pay NI and tax it will be taken off, and if u earn quite a bit and your bonus goes on the same pay ull get taxed more
NI should stay the same tho!

If they put the bonus through as a seperate transaction we could have got it tax free but it's too much hassle for them to do that.

Not to worry- welcome to the real world hey!!!!

But if I had real tax problems and you helped me Id thank you- well I'd but you a pint os something:p :D
