    help???

any ideas whay i can buy my mum for 50th birthday?

she's not girlie in any sense of the word, she is a psychology lecturer but really very trendy for a mum.

I just have no idea what to get her, i was thinking about a pamper day but it would have to be a very tasteful one and we wouldnt really know till we got there.

    Any other ideas?

Places like Seaham Hall and Malmaison do spa days, which I reckon would be pretty tasteful.

For my father's 65th we got him a Red Letter Day voucher, so he could pick from a list of all sorts of different things to do. http://www.redletterdays.co.uk/Home

How about something which may not be worth much in money but is very sentimental?

How about asking friends and relatives for pictures of her, and get them put into a photo album for her, you can get some really nice hardback books and things from tesco photo?
    here

It will take you ages and being 50 is a really momentus occasion in anyones life, I bet you she would really thank you for taking the time and effort to do it.

Even getting a scrapbook, putting little things in she might have forgotton about from when you were little, or like a guestbook, where people write things in about her, just so she has it to reflect on in years to come.

Or, you could write down 50 of your favourite memories with her, or something like that.

I love doing stuff like this, it really makes a difference having taken care and time to do something. :) good luck with it. Hope you mam has a lovely day.

we did that for xmas, it was of all of us when we were little and before my mum and dad split up etc as she didnt have any photo's so we compiled them into an album for her.

It was a very good idea, she loved it.......:)
