Re: @home door policy... eehh?????? we went on 1 of the first nights and they let us in... atleast 3 or 4 of us were wearing them... phah! now it's 'popular' they must be crackin down. it's shite anyways.
Re: Re: @home door policy... me, eyeball, vin and a couple of my mates went in, in two different groups at different times just to get knocked back... it wasnt as if it was a group of lads either... or as if it was remotely busy... morons.
Re: Re: Re: @home door policy... we went the opening week, me, vin, brid, laz and a couple of others... brid was dressed like a vagrant too and they were like 'evening lads'
I got in there on Friday no bother with trainers on, it was my first visit and i have to say its pants and the fact i paid £4.50 for a vodka and lemonade made my face sad, i also went to Tokoyo for the first time and again that is gash not a patch on what Poo Na Na used to be like
i must be beneath @home's high standard of dress... oh well... tokyo was excellent on friday night... try hard central
Re: thomas i would but heather might threaten to stab me in the neck for breathing in martins presence its not workin really pm me
Re: Re: Re: @home door policy... totally forgot we tried getting in there the nights slowly coming back to me!!
got in fine with trainers in a few weeks ago. bit stale I thought inside. Got forced into have table service. £6.80 for a beer and a glass of white wine. pretty steep.
That you baldy? Was in Tokyo on Friday, was cool. Mr. Eltringham was playing some decent acid too. Was funny watching the try-hards dance to Derrick May records like they were Hed Kandi anthems too That's only the second time I've been in, the time before was the bank holiday Sunday in August and there wsa no DJ, just Rob playing CDs. 'tis a nice bar. Which is why I'm very surprised they booked you Daly.
I had it cut on Friday! It's quite short now! I'll try and head down like. Sagar's do at the D&P on Friday and Resistance on Saturday, shall try and fit it round that. You playing both nights? I'd pop out to Genghis/North tonight but I'm gona have a Chinese and can't be arsed
Tom, i was gonna start the very same thread. U beat me to it! Absolute nobs. Why didnt they want are business? Doubt il bother goin back. None of us were remotely pissed either. We had just started out! U went towards the door first like Tom. Obv didnt like the look of ya! Only other places in town ive been turned back for trainers was Chase on Clare (Flutterbyes) birthday summer last year. About 6 or 7 of them walked in, all in trainers. Me and Rat arrived 10 mins later cos we popped into Vuzz on the way. "Sorry, no trainers". :spangled: Been there loads of times before and since with no bother. Other place is The Lodge. Was before Promise, mebs about a year ago. Think there was me, Rat, Batfink, Jimmy, and a couple of others. "No trainers" Im sure ive tried one other time more recently at The Lodge with same response. Why turn away good business? We are clearly not twats.
I cant understand how they will let anyone in wearing a battered pair of old loafers yet turn away someone thats far better dressed wearing a pair of brand new trainers?? Surely they should just use thier discretion. More than likely the type of place where they have a NO TRAINER rule on the door is the type of place I wouldnt want to be in anyway.
they turned bevan an lucy away 5 mins later too... who were hardly dressed like tramps by any stretch... i dont mind the place actually.. better than vuzz anyway
