    how much money is enough?

    is there any amount?
just read that in 1980 the average CEO's wage was 10 times the lowest paid workers and today it's 74 times.

tbf in some circumstances i'd agree, but some people work very hard for there money, so don't always say its greed.

When I think about winning the lottery, I tell myself nothing less than 10million would suit me for life.. when i think about a great job i tell myself nothing less than £50,000 would be enough. Neither are going to happen though..

Personally I think to live comfortably 25 - 30k would be suffice without being greedy.

I earn around 16k atm.. and I've got a mortgage and a car..
Although the car is paid for..

I could do with a little extra cash.

It scares me to think of ppl in the same position but with kids.. things must be soooo tough at times!

it always seems to me that the shittest jobs that nobody would want to do (unless they had to) are always the worst paid and the ones that would be fun pay the most.

do u mean would he rather do a job for 15k a year and be happy then do one for 500k and be unhappy?

if so the answer to that question would not take long to find ..

It doesn't matter how much you earn (unless you are getting into six figures) i'd imagine you would always spend enough to want more....

I guess you would tell yourself you would do it for a bit till you got some cash together, but you soon start to spend at the level you earn and soon you wouldn't be able to go back to 15k even if you had been living ok on it before.
then you would have to be unhappy forever. so many people get trapped into that.
But it's better than getting trapped into a minimum wage job........

    wife and 4 kids = couldn't afford johnny's

I could never have 4 kids. 2 is my limit.. unless i did strike it rich with the lottery in which case i could pay for a nanny to give myself some freedom.

to be honest as long as i can afford nice food and enjoy little luxuries I don't mind what Iearn. I am very much a person that I have to love a job else I won't stay at it no matter how much money it brought in. I want to work to live not live to work. :)

i'd say anyone needs at least 20-25 grand (in newcastle) to have a crack at any kind of decent existance on themselves, to be able to live comfortably and have a few mod cons and luxuries.
