Been offerd a job 2day on the re-fit of ikon its a 14 week job and its totally getting ripped out and re-named Liquid. I turned the job down:fart: didnt fancy it.

Ikon is a awesome "space" and location, I hope it turns out well

aren't they changing there music policy to loose the crowd an the image the place has??

that place has possibilitys for 'super club' status if it were some were else..take away the charvas,sticky carpets,shite music..stick in a huge rig and decent music/djs/people.... sorted

it's a company called ultimate lesuire that own it, they were hoping to compleat the refurb in 16 weeks but they have now just found asbestos in the roof which will cost the company another half a million. they are wishing to change the clintel that get in there but the music won't be that far off what get's played there now there looking to take £ 90,000 net a week i've been told a differnt dress code will be set and the club will be called liqiud envy the full refurb is gona cost around 4 mill.

The people will never change. It's there club, there music. What's the point of changing the dress code? It won't work

yeh it's some orgonisation of clubs and bars they own not just in newcastle either the owner(s) must be laughing money more money woman and even more woman must be nice

the club was tits up and has been for a while hence them letting any one in there i don't like the place or music they play used to go there when i was 18. i work next door in my uncles bar and the manager from ikon pops in for his dinner, he was saying it'll be a lot stricter on who they let in and he said there looking to take 90 grand a week which is quite a bit money that's not profit though just net so not sure on what the profit for them will work out but i would'nt mind it going in my bank every week
