I'm Stiff

    I'm Stiff

    :lol: No I havn't been watching the Hollyoaks double bill :lol:

    I went back to the gym two days ago and I am really sore, arms and chest are so tight I struggled to get out of bed :cry: I spend over 40 minutes stretching and warming up and I'm still in serious pain. I was so bad it woke me up :cry:

    I had a tattoo done on my arm a few days ago and I'm so tight I can't reach it to put the cream on :lol: Now that sore as fuck also :(

    Every movement hurts, anyone any idea what I can do to easy this off ?

    I don't think there is but it's worth a go.

    Suprising the only thing to ease it is another session in the gym

    the best thing when you have been training is to have a hot bath ideally with muscle soak in it before you go to bed and do a few stretches
    then when youwake up on the morning do a few more stretches
    its just your bodys was of saying they have been worked a little to much

    did you warm down after trainging in the gym ?

    it took me a while to drive to work cos I could hardly trun the steering wheel :(

    I didn't even push myself that hard, must be well out of shape :(

    yeah I always warm up and down, I didn't expect myself to be in such a poor state :lol:

    I have loat quite a bit of mass, looks like it's all round my mid section now :lol:

    I was only in for an hour of weights and 40 mins cardio, would normally do about three hours.

    I have started cycling to / from work now, canny far as well in total and when it was windy last night i thought "why am i doing this"

    At the end of the day ill lose me "4 week holiday belly" and i am earning more coin :)

    I need a bigger bag for me change of clothes tho for the two jobs, gonna sort it this weekend :up:

    normally when you get this type of reaction from a first session back is that you have either
    not warmep up and stretched before hand
    not cooled down and stretched afterwards
    or done to much

    remember that when you havent been gym for a while you wont be able to lift as much as you could when you were there last
    your muscles decrease in size and you have to start from scratch

    best thing to do is rest them for a few days and then go back there and try less weights remembereing to warm up cool down and stretch properly

    I'm aware of how to warm up and down, I used to do more than enough PT in my old job. Think I over done it thats all.

    There's no getting away from being stiff after the 1st time back for a while. A couple more times going and you don't get it anymore
