Re: is there a hope in hell

    Half and half.

The lad obviously doesn't have the money to buy his own food, therefore it must be his parents who pay for it.

I'm sure this was in the Sunday Sun yesterday. His mam looked proud as fuck in the photo, smiling and everything. She's obviously thought "Cher-ching", what with a tv programme based around him and tabloid coverage. She must be seeing £££ signs.

It's shocking though. They should never have let him get to that size

There was a similar documentary on the other night about a 21 year old lass who weighed something like 34st  Her mother was quoted saying "at school the children all used to bring her sweets and cakes because they knew she didn't have the money to buy them for herself" - Oh aye, blame the fucking kids at school. Where the fuck are they gonna get the money from to manage to even half fill that fat fuck?

too right its the parents fault, children dont make their own dinners and tea so its obvious whose door the blame falls at.

Parents fault but partly government failings to provide proper parenting education.

Bring kids up from birth away from junk food and they won't be refusing to eat anything else at 8.

Should never have got to this stage

its the parents fault in my opinion, they should be sitting them down at the table and eating a healthy meal, aswell as regular exercise. even if its just going for walks.

i seen a clip about it on the tv this morning and aparently they're trying to take the kid off the mother and put him into care because of it

i cant understand why they'd let their kids shovel food like they do, and when they get fat, dont seem to do anyhting..
i'd hate seeing my son/daughter growing up being fat like...

i agree its the parents fault, they need educating, his mam said theres a history of intolerance to fruit and vege in their family, im sure, shes just too fuckin lazy to get off her benfit sponging arse to cook a good nutritional meal for her kids, although i dont think the child should be taken off her, i think she shud be force fed until she is fat too.i cant stand scrubbers like her that use her child's disabilty to score a few more pints at her local.dirty fucking scrubbers!and they would have to be from the fuckin north east!

there are a lot of people to blame not just the parents...

alot needs to be done to educate people of the benefits of exercise and eating healthy. in the leisure centre i work in we have a try 5 scheme in which children in the area come in a try different activities and are educated on different fruit/veg etc.

its amazing how many of the kids dont even know what a banana is

when does a child come into contact with them if the do not eat them, they are hardly gonna shop for them and most schools dont have fruit on the menu (this could have chasged with that jamie oliver thing now tho)
