Got 2 Japanese ppl and 3 italians coming over tonight and they need somewhere decent to eat in Newcastle.

Somewhere thats open late as they wont be getting there till 9:30 - 10:00ish...

An Italians would be prefferred

coco mos is well nice

coco mos is on the quayside, its slick inside to, there is another one further up the road that looks uber cool inside, but i've not tried that yet might be worth a go. its opposite hoko 10 or round about there anyway

it was the jap who suggested italians - guess they have threatened him

azzuri is top quality, good food, nice decor and fit waitresses

Azzuri is def the best.

Have the stuffed peppers for starters.

The calzone is awsome too. An absolute monster.

franchescas is the best italians just of osbourn road not sure on closing time though bri they do wicked half and halfs aswell half pizza half pasta

i ate there pretty much every night when i was staying on the quayside a few weeks ago, don't imagine you'd have to book mid-week. if it is a client/colleague though, why take the chance for the sake of a phone call?

reasonable fair, nothing to write home about. best meal i had on the quayside was cafe 21, although it is in a different price bracket to azzuri.

would have thought so yeah.

just dont wanna book cos not 100% sure of the time they will be arriving u see!

price aint really an issue - just as long as its decent and clean

the service was spot on in azzuri, i imagine you won't have any probs getting them to hold onto a table for half an hour mid-week.

she had no probs holding the table just last orders for food is 10pm - so if they arrive too late its off to the bigg market for a kebab

i also had one of them during my stay in toon and have to say it scarred me. i got the worst directions in the world when i was looking for a takeaway near the station and ended up right in the middle of that hellhole.

its a horrible feeling once you realise where you are isn't it!! :cry2:

maybe not too bad on a wed night - but on a weekend...it should remain closed!
