I have just this morn re-installed Itunes onto the PC for me Nano, 2GB one.

I only had a few sets on what have now gone but cos the Itunes was trying to "Sync" what was on the PC with the Nano its not not letting me update anything?

I think what it was trying to do was put what was on the PC onto the Nano when it just wouldnt of happened cos of space.

Is there anyway now i can update it cos when i close it the restart it says "sync could not be completed cos some of the tunes have been deleted" or summit along the lines.

Failing that what else can i use apart from Itunes ?

    Cheers

i had problems with mine and the sync'ing. best thing is to restore the factory settings on the ipod via itunes, then when its restored it will come up the option to manually manage music, tick that box

iTunes 7 has the new firmware built in for the ipods - if it stuffs up during the upgrade- u might have to restore to the factory settings.

IF it won't let u, get the CD that came with it OR an older version of the updater (i have the Jan 2006 one thats works) and use that to revert to an earlier version of the firmware THEN let iTunes 7 upgrade again.

this has worked when fixing both my 2gb nano and a mates 30gb video

    Sorted.

When you delete Itunes from ya PC it doesnt remove everything so when i re-intalled it it just done the same thing asking again.

All i did was went into program files then deleted Itunes after id un-installed it then re-installed it and it worked sound.

    :)
