I've just bought Steve Lawler, Lights Out, Vol 2! GU, Tony Di Vit, Live In Tokyo (Taking 2 months to get here from America) Sasha, Involver, Limited Edition 2CD box set Your thoughts on them if you've got any of them!
Oops, thought that was something different, I was tired last night, got the years mixed up on them. I've cancelled Involver, and ordered GU 13: Sasha, Live In Ibiza, I was going to get that one first anyways!
i got the tony de vit one off ebay for 4 quid dont really like tony de vit, so its the GU album i probably listen to the least. Involver is fantastic, but ive listened to it too much. Lights out 2 is class, specially cd 2 Lights out 1 is darker + more tribal.
Nice one lads. I know I the Sasha + Lawler ones will be good, but I'm pretty excited by the Di Vit one. It's supposed to go from Prog upto almost HH! It should be really intersesting tbh!
I've listened to it quite a bit, but there's only a couple of tunes on it that I like, it just doesn't really know it for me tbh
Can't speak for the others as I haven't heard them, but the TDV cds are cracking. A lot of the stuff is quite progressive, especially on the first cd, at least in comparison to how HH dj's play now. Second cd is probably the better of the two in my opinion, as thats where it seems to pick up a bit of pace and move onto the more anthem-ish tracks.
Nice one. The first CD just stops at a random point doesn't it, with it being live, just like a tape would!
Yeah, it just fades out on the last track, but then the 2nd cd carries on from that point. Just realised there was actually 2 GU cd's which Tony did. The one I've been commenting on was Live In Tokyo.
Re: I've just bought Bought that when it came out - Its immense. Hard House before it actually happened
Re: Re: I've just bought what he said... the tdv house collection mix is quality too... just when he was starting to get harder wi stuff like bits&pieces on (the original on hooj) in the same triple cd pack are mixes by boy george & jon pleased wimmin, sadly they have not ages as well as the tdv one!
The Lawler one is canny. Think it will take a while to really like it, it's one of those cd's that will grow on you imo.
