not bad mate well done, i feel the kicks a bit loud though, and the bass needs eqing to its clashing with the kick, i'm guessing thats why you turn the kick up so loud to get rid of the squelch from the bass.

You could always use a little sidechain compression to get rid of the squelch on the kick from the bass. Every thing else seems nice, but eq is your main bad area, a lot of the sounds seem to be separated from each other, you need to gel them together. make them feel one if you get what i mean.

Nice arrangemnt and nottation though, your stuff comes on loads like jamie since the last time i listen to one or your tracks.

    hope i've been helpfull

i iknow what ya mean mate, this is the first track ive done where ive really had a go at EQ'ng using the parametric, suppose it will get better wiht practice.

i was surprised at how much of a difference the parametric EQ's make to the overall sound when they are used on all channels like. Can't wait till ive got it sussed.

    Cheers though alex

no worries, yeah its just practise mate, you'll get it in the end, remember though if it don't need eqing then don't do it. if you need any help just give me a shout on here.

cheers mate, i think where ive gone wrong is wiht the panning, ive jus had a listen to it through some head phones and it sounds totally different.

i need some flat response monitors, im using a surround sound system at the minute and its got built in EQ curves so when am playing my stuff through other systems its sounds totally different.
