Jon O BIR @ radio 1 big weekend what did people think of his set?? i personally thought he was really good. didnt rekonise many of his tunes though. does anybody have any kind of set list??
yeah it was. he's been decent everytime ive seen him so far. does he do much of his own producing or would he have been playing other peoples stuff?? any ideas?:spangled:
He has produced some stuff yeah. But he plays others peoples music mainly. Just he dont go hammer and play the same tunes that every other dj plays because they're popular. Seems to play more unusual tracks, tunes that work for him not the charts.
Bouncebackability is an ok track but the stuff he was playing sounded a lot better. quite dark, which is always good imo.
He's probs me fave DJ along with Halliwell behind PVD Jon O'Birs summit special like in all fairness coming how far he has in how little time - im gutted i missed him @ Twisted when he was on there but im sure there will be other times to see him in future. His mxing and tune selectios is always and i could mix as good as that id be fucking buzzing Jon O'Bir
WELL SAID MATE! UNUSUAL TO HEAR PEOPLE ON HERE GIVING MR HALLIWELL RESPECT THO. I TOTALLY AGREE HE IS BRILLIANT TECHNICALLY BUT HE USUALLY GETS SLATED ON THIS FORMUM. ON A GOOD DAY HE IS TOPS THOUGH. THE BOAT LAST NEW YEARS DAY FOR EXAMPLE.
he hasnt impressed me yet tbh, and it was the second song he played i think, its possibly the cheesiest shit track ive ever heard, rossy will remember it
i was high, but i knew what was going on, it was only the last 2 hours or so when i didnt know where i was, i remember jon bored me
Jon is playing a style of trance that both progressive and suits the dance floor. "Bouncebakability" is a brilliant tune and has a really unique sound. His essential mix this year was outstanding. Unlike Halliwells regurgatated crass. Hes a gr8 DJ defo one of my favs. Think this could b a big year for him as well with the residency show and more peak time @ gods.
