    Judge Jules On About Newcastle/Promise

Ask any performing artist, whether they're comedian band member or dj, and they'll tell you that the best three UK cities for crowd reaction are probably Belfast, Glasgow and Newcastle. For this reason I'm always in a schoolboyish fluster of anticipation before visiting any of the three, and Newcastle's Promise is an awesome night to play. Despite being the evening before the huge God's Kitchen Global Gathering festival, Promise was full, which was a testament to the strength of the night (and possibly the pulling power of the Eddie Halliwell and Jules combination.) Because I had the greater distance to travel home I played first, from 12.30-2.30. The crowd are equally well schooled in trance and harder sounds, therefore I did my best to combine the two, to excellent response.

ive never acually seen jules play a bad set they've all been good, its a shame tho, when he plays blinding all he gets is, oh that was good.... for jules, and even when hes good people look for errors to criticise him on, he doesn't get the respect he deserves from most clubbers which is a shame.

    Exactly.

    It's quite sad really!

Not as bad as it used to be though.

It still remains the cooler thing to do though.....ie slag him off as opposed to just enjoying it

"Theres more to music than clubs, drugs and slagging off Judge Jules"

I always enjoy his sets, gets the people in and gets the crowd going....and that is what it's all about.

Tell me, who has been to a Jules night where the Atmosphere isnt brilliant?

Take Judgement Sunday for example. Amazing night, rammed week in week out, and the atmosphere is fantastic.

Jules is cool, have loads of respect for the guy :D

who gives a fuck about his trumpet playing tho reeli apart from u, he doesnt play it anymore so why are u making it such a concern of yours...?!?!!
as for genre hopping it just shows ur blatent lack of musical knowledge in that jules has almost always played tunes from across the dance music range, ah dear these clueless msg board gimps reeli do provide me with amusement they reeli do  :dunce:
