A new job to start as soon as I finish here. How exciting!!! Just wanted to share with everyone :angel3:

I'm going ot be an offender and Ex-offender mentor. Working with them both to motivate them and encourage them. Trying to overcome any issues they may have about coming back out into society etc. Then aiding them to get into employment and then supporting the employers if they are having difficulties with the client.

For the first placement I'll be at Yarm young offenders unit. But could be anywhere except the really high security prison.

I'd be shitting myself, think its a very noble cause... but you'll be handling some well sinister sorts.

Does your work include counselling and stuff or is it purely motivational?

Not counselling as I'm not qualified but supprt and confidence building acting as a mediator if needs be in the place of employment.
I'm really excited but nervous. It doesn't start till July but still can't wait. It's a whole new scheme so all of us will be learning together really.
