I don't think it should be forced upon you. Maybe you don't watch the BBC or have no intentions of watching it. I really think they should move with the times and start advertising and scrap this TV licence.

what!!!!why? everyone knows you don't have to buy a license till they send the guy round who asks you do you want to buy a license, only then if you say no do they send the people round who fine you.

we got a letter sayin they would take us to court unless we werent using the telly to view television shows, or record television shows etc. we wer just using it to play pro evo n watch films on the playstation, so we werent actually doing anything wrong. we just had to right a letter to say so.
instead we had ntl put in n waited ofr a few weeks then payed the license.

You should get a criminal record for it and have to declare this when you apply for jobs, you have broken the law and been caught for it red handed.

i thought that to, but the letter said we werent doing anything wrong. thats why the send the vans round anyway. if your tv ariel (sp?) is plugged in they can pick up the signal, that way they no if you are using the telly. thats also why most people in high rise flats get away with it more often, cos the signal his hard to pin point, apparently.
