Just one visit to Ibiza in 2006!

A lot of destinations where Tiësto wanted to perform during the summer period could never be visited due to the fact that he had his residency on the island of Ibiza every Thursday. This summer he decided to do less gigs on the island so he could do more performances on other islands and other countries as well.

Apart from this, he wants to spend more time in the studio during this summer to produce new tracks and remixes.

Therefore only one event will be attended by Tiësto at Cream Amnesia this year and that will be during the massive BBC Radio 1 weekend on the 12th of August. It will be a special Magik Muzik night with a long exclusive set from Tiësto!

definately bad news for those who like him and are heading out to ibiza this year around this date

am sure that if he is only making one appearance this year then he will kick arse

good news, wont have to see him at cream every week now.

i think he has clearly gone in a huff and spat his dummy out coz he is not worlds no 1 dj anymore.

he obviously doesnt want to be in PVD's shadow which he would be if he played at cream so has decided to give his ego a boost and have his own night just coz he can!!

tiesto now i think is so bothered about headling events and wanting high status that he wont play second fiddle to anyone, hes always played before van dyk at cream as his warm up dj but obviously now his pride has got the better of him.

i think its a good thing, gives other djs a chance to play at amnesia

wonder if they'll get a new resident to replace him or have different guests each week

maybe they are going to get the local talent on as "trance is dead"

its all old hat though to be honest, they have both been there done that got the tee shirt. Its nowhere near as good and as special as it used to be in Ibiza.

What is Tiesto like at the minute?

When I see the video on MTV Dance of the most recent Barbers Adagio for Strings mix, wherever that was filmed looks immense and makes me want to see him.

Is he still that good?

i've never seen him play good lol think i've seen him 4/5 times and each time i've been bored

I've seen him at Godskitchen in 2002 when I first went clubbing, which was a cracking set, and then once more at Creamfields for about half an hour - quality - but for some unkown reason I left as I didn't have my head screwed on properly.

I feel I've never seen him long enough to pass a proper judgement on him though.

i've yet to be impressed by him, its not like i havn't tried either, he's just boring as fuck

Ibiza has dominated the listings during the season for too long....

Theres a lot more than Ibiza and the turnouts during the last two summers have shown most of Europe has realized this.
