    It's OK if the parents are sober, but I still wonder if a music festival is a good environment for a child.

    When we went to V we took my mates son luke he is only 14 and loved every minute of it.....so yay :D

    Glasto, yes, they cater for kids superbly and it's a really family like festival.. anywhere else I'd say no...

    i remember going to a rave on a beach and hearing some kid say 'mummy mummy the raves this way' then two kids with glows sticks appeared over the sand dunes

    I'm surprised it doesn't freak parents out when they take their kids to places where others are off their nut.

    I say nay. Children should live their childhood the way any normal child would, not be brought up in and around festivals which are generally (not always) fuelled by drink, drugs or both.

    define normal? my parents were hippy's and for me i had a normal great childhood :D

    i used to go to festivals and see bands with my parents at a very young age

    my parents used to organise the north east hod rod meets, and have bands and stuff on all the time

    i was dancing as soon as i could walk

    I don't see the problem aslong as the parents arnt getting trashed. Although I don't see the point in taking a really young kid.
