Lab 4 I don't think I've ever put up a request in this forum, but no one has ever mentioned Lab 4, they are one of the greatest live acts currently on the british circuit - their blend of hard acid trance and tough hard house may not be everyones idea of the perfect promise line ups.... but I think they suit the new hard image down to the ground, they bring hard dance music without the cheese whats everyone elses thought should promise book em?
Never seen LAB4, but got there Imperial Gardens Set, and that is wicked!! Reminds me of the Cyberdog shops for some reason !! Bring them on!!! Hopefully they'll be playin a bit in London when I go back...
oh my god i thought that my knowledge of dj's wasnt THAT bad but this post has proved me wrong to avoid sounding like i dont have a clue who the fuck is/are lab 4 oh nooooooooo i feel really stupid now, like the poll sez i've obviously had my head up my arse for the past few years............. !!! how gutted am i??!!! xxxx oh just read joes post so now i know who they are but i still know fuck all about them...oh well never mind!!! xxx
Don't worry hun...they're a live act...completely mental blokes !!! Their music is what the smart 1 said...saw them @ sundiss & they were class! I'd love to see them @ promise tho...please
I think im having second thoughts, the music is really hard n fast though, so not 100% sure it would promise, i mean I would love to see them, but I cant imagine they'd be very popular!! Not many people would know the tunes, no hands up in the air moments, no cheesy vocals, and not many people would have heard of them n therefore be bothered turnin up!! Undecided about Lab4 at Promise!! Sorry!! However in line with the harder sounds of Eddie Halliwell, I think Yoji Biomehanika would be worth havin a look at!!
isnt this the case with picotto though? judging by the amount of people who turned up to see picotto i imagine if lab4 played at promise and people knew about em they would go down a storm!! heard ickle rumours like that they dont really play live
dunno if lab4 would suit promise but i would love to see them there, everytime i hav seen them theyve been absolutely amazin. hav also heard rumours their live sets r pre recorded, however its all their own music n they look mad as fuck when they r performin nehow so i aint really bothered either way.
People think they are hard house cos they play at hard house nights, they aren't hard house - they're just hard as fuck, with promise moving in a hard trance/techno sort of direction I think they'd suit Promise down to the groud.... Non of our DJ's play cheese on the harder nights... Promise has a very unique music policy which seems to get more underground as the music gets harder. Not only would onyl would Lab 4 bring somethig new to promise but they'd introduce promise to a whole new crowd of clubbers... Lab 4 have an almost cult following, almost all of their events are a huge success... I think Lab 4's music would suit promise to the ground... Is: Marco V Mauro Picotto Scott Project Cheesy trance, nope? So why not give Lab 4 a chance
after reading cyberdogs post my dream line up would be: Yoji Biomehanika followed by Lab 4 You couldn't dream of a harder line up Would also attract a very good and fresh crowd to promise me thinks
:: foams at mouth at that prospect :: LAB4! LAB4! LAB4! LAB4! can't see it myself.. but would love to see them at promise!
I've not seen them before but I've heard great things about them so I think it'd definitely be worth looking into. They're playing at GK Global Gathering (I think) so I'll be able to get a little taste of them there
