PeoplGetReal is the collective name for the DJ/production duo of Simon Lister and Peter Wilson.

Never allowing themselves to be pinned down to a particular sound or pigeon-holed is seen as the lads’ greatest strength. Their philosophy is that a club night or mix shouldn't be at the same level or tempo all the way through, instead it should be a mixture of all things good and proper. This gives the lads the uncanny ability to bring their mixture of house, techno and disco to any floor and rock it.

Regularly featured and profiled in Mixmag and The Guardian, PEOPLE GET REAL are now also enjoying increasing success with repeat bookings at; New Years Eve showcases in Leeds and Newcastle with Radio One’s Essential Mix , Fuse Brussels, Reclaim the Dancefloor Ibiza, Chibuku’s secret Forest Parties, Sankeys and Naive Melody in Manchester, People Under the Stairs London, Sheffield’s Urban Gorilla as well as both Coco de Mer and Pigeonhole Disco in Liverpool.

Sorry for the late notification, however we have been working around the clock for reasons soon to be made apparent and only now can we provide you with following information.

Due to a major police and licensing sweep, prompted by a recent investigation by The Newcastle Chronicle, Madame Koo's has unfortunately been forbidden to operate until 6am on Bank Holiday Sunday.

After exploring all of our options for appeal etc, we have sadly come the conclusion that there is no legal way in which we can continue until 6am at Madame Koos this Sunday.

As a result, we have decided to make this event ENTIRELY FREE all night as a token of our commitment to looking after everyone who has ever came to or intends to attend Last Waltz.

While we are disappointed that we can't play as long as we initially intended, we feel that the combination of MARK E, PEOPLE GET REAL and our residents still represents an AMAZING line up to rival any event in Newcastle this weekend.

We are still diligently working towards securing an after party venue to play through until 6am, which currently hangs 50/50 in the balance.
We will of course update everyone as soon as we know whether or not an afterparty is happening, but we felt that we couldn't hold back on this announcement a moment longer than was necessary.

Ask anyone who's been to Last Waltz and they will tell you that this Sunday will be an AMAZING party.

We can't wait to see you there.
