    Leeds Festival

Just got back yesterday at 10am ish and i have slept since then bar when i got up for something to eat last night - brayed in.

It was to date probably the best festival i have been to, thats without any trance or owt as well - the whole banter and camping carry on was just immense from start to finish granted we all got fucking scruffy off the hit and miss weather.

Outa everyone The Manic Street Preachers stole the show for me, The Fratelli's were second n then loads more who i havent seen before as well but have heard of.

After the last night id fell asleep in the tent and apparently it was like downtown Baghdad with all the gas stove canisters getting burnt, someone wrecked one of the rides and i know of at least 5 tents around ours that got slashed which we just left there, is there really any need for that carry on?

All in all tho it was fucking quality, already cant wait to get back next year.

It's totally class man, obv there's alot lot more bands that i seen or shall i say we all seen but there the main ones that stood out.

The hygiene and keeping the tent clean got banished as soon as we got there even if our tent was like the Mal Maison which slowly turned into a shit pit

We had miles to walk to the car whenever we ran outa drink like tho being able to take ya own grog is a bonus even if i still spent about £200, foor prices can be a bit  but it isnt as shit bait as you think like.

The sheepskin coats and flatcap posse looked class as well honest ;)

T was pretty good, not as much trouble as leeds, still a decent lineup.

The beer is piss - only thing you can get is tennants or blackthorne, if you like neither I'd stock up on spirits and cans :D

Plenty of camping room on the site and not much bother, only thing is we made the mistake of camping right next to the muller rice bus, people were getting them for free and throwing em at each other...

... on the last day the campsite largely resembled the scene you'd get if fino had a wank.

it was mint, they opened up with their law, then breathe, firestarter, smack my bitch up, spitfire, voodoo people, world on fire, poison, then they finished with this:

at T, I tried to get to see as many bands and artists as possible - the one that really impressed me was seasick steve. He was swigging JD neat from the bottle, heckling people throwing beer at him, and playing a load of self-made or improvised incidents.

funny as fuck to watch him like:

"can I please ask that you don't throw this shandy stuff at me. it tastes like shit. If you'd be so kind as to throw whisky at me I'd be extremely happy"

This is the case with a lot of music for me, until you hear it played live you don't fully appreciate how good it actually is.

We took 18 crates altogether with our lot which was in total about 2 Smiths / 8 Strongbow and then the rest Carlsberg and Carling, that was between about 9/10 of us i think and i dare say there wasnt much of it left, we also took about 4 litres of vodka as well.

We woke up a couple of days and the tinnies were ice cold and total bliss and when we were doing the drinks runs to the cars which were miles away they again were strangely cold after being in the car for a day or two?

I couldnt believe them charging about £3.50/60 a pint of Tuborg at the bar when its £0.50 in Turkey a pint  - i still paid it and still spent aye on £100 on day on drinking double JD n Cokes with Nicky at £11.00 a round.

I dont really mind spending what i planned on anyways, i actually come home with money as well outa £300 ish which is always canny cos am away with me g/f this weekend to a wedding anyways.

We nearly went home on the Sun night after all the shows but decided to hang it out which i am pleased i did, if i was to be totally honest bar the gas cans and kick off's / tents slashed i hadnt seen owt bad nor any charvers or owt at all before that from the Thur morn - nowt like i have seen at the likes of Creamfields / Global and the likes anyways.
