    Leeds: Sun. 2.5.10 Garden Party w Curly/Curtiss/Baker + more

Part 1 of 3: The Launch

    TECHNIQUE & ASYLUM
    present
    The Faversham Garden Party

    Sunday 2 May 2010
    2pm – 4am

The huge garden parties return for 2010, 14 hours across 5 areas. 2009 saw all three events sell out and with improvements such as a refurbished main room at the Faversham and ever evolving line-ups we expect this year to be no different!

These events have become renowned for atmosphere and are now firmly established as a ‘must see’ in the summer calendar. As ever the terrace will be covered, with open sides if the lovely British weather permits and there will be food and drink being served in outside areas.

As many of you will know all of last year’s events sold out well in advance. We’re expecting this year to be even more popular, so please don’t miss out. We will, as always, reserves plenty of spaces on the door and will permit access right throughout the day based on capacity however, tickets are always the best way to guarantee entry.

    On to the line ups:

NICK CURLY has had a busy few years! Now firmly established as one of the globe’s most sought after acts, Nick has been highly influential in the rise of the so-claled Manheim house sound that thrived throughout 2009. With his 8 Bit and Cecille imprints he’s been responsible for two of the biggest labels around, however it’s arguably his own productions and DJ sets which have provided him with the most plaudits. There’s hardly a corner of the world that hasn’t received a visit from Nick in the past 12 months so come and check out why he’s quite so in demand.

LEE CURTISS is a difficult man to pin down both physically and metaphorically. Flitting between techno’s birthplace, Detroit and it’s European sister, Berlin as well as touring the world performing makes him difficult to track. Likewise Lee’s music moves around somewhere between techno, house and disco, never solely in one place yet undeniably coherent. With releases for the likes of Spectral Sound, Bpitch, Crosstown Rebels and, of course, the infamous Wolf + Lamb family he’s evidently been heading in the right direction…whatever that may be!

Also on hand we have SIMON BAKER, homegrown support who will be no stranger to any of you. MONO_CULT host the conservatory and Manchester’s EL DIABLOS throw down the discoid dirt in the cheeky little GIMP ROOM…oh and last but not least, KAPUT drop into the INVISIBLE MARQUEE to ensure that things don’t go, welll erm, kaput!

Tickets are on sale for all 2010’s garden parties now!

    Beware of imitations!

I admire this kind of honesty and the way that you turned the number of people into a percentage - made me laugh!

Hope you make it over mate

    Errrrk.
In Leeds from the Thursday for Distrikt then Villalobos.
Doing stag-do type things for the Friday and Saturday.
The return leg was meant to be sunday in town.
Sooooooorely tempted to sack that off and stay in Leeds for this.

Is that bad (considering I'm going to be the best man in July)?
