'Legal highs' set to be banned

Two so-called "party" drugs and a man-made cannabis substitute will be banned by the end of the year, the Home Office has announced.

Good riddance. Dare i say it, but stuff like this which has had even LESS research done on it than the illegal stuff, and has probably WORSE side effects or risks associated with it ... should be just as illegal as the 'other' things.

That spice stuff sounded quite interesting though. Sounds like they found a way around the illegality of cannabis with it.

BZP is paranoia inducing, more so than anything illegal. Only came about cos you can't get owt into New Zealand.

BZP is rank, my mate used to work in the factory in boro that did them pep pills a couple of years ago so i used to get loads of them for free. If you had some on a friday you had no chance of getting to sleep until at least sunday, used to have some well intense conversations with myself in my head

BZP is skanky. however we get the usual "linked to several deaths" crap. peanuts are linked to several deaths as are tampons paracetamol and fish bones. Scare stories don't work. They should try being honest now and again. who knows people might even start to believe them

Even in the bbc story, they said a lad had taken BZP and 'died' but then mentioned a few lines down that it was understood that he had also taken illegal drugs! More doublespeak from the mainstream media then.

BZP is utter filth like. I had the worst ever post-clubbing day ever after having some of these 'herbal rave' things. Had to spend 24 hours in bed.

    Mexico decriminalises possession

    http://www.independent.co.uk/news/w...l-in-mexico-ndash-in-small-doses-1776792.html

Too much bureaucratics involved here just now and too many ignorant people to buy it.
