    Living arrangements

What are your living arrangements - are you still with parents, living in shared accommodation or living on your own? How do you feel about it?

My flatmate is off on holiday for a week, and I was just thinking how much I'm looking forward to going home tonight and having the flat to myself. I share a two bedroomed flat in London, having spent the last three years living on my own, in my own big house. My flatmate is great, but I really miss living by myself. But before I lived on my own, I always thought I would hate it.

I live with three flatmates in a 4bed house and love it. Not sure I'd like living by myself.

The longest I have spent at home since I was 10 years old is four months. My parents are great, but I don't know how some of you manage it.

Went from a big city centre newcastle apartment... to a studio/bedsit in croydon, to a one bedroom apartment ..... to a shared house in guildford with 3 people to a shared house in richmond with 3 people.

In all cases its cost me between 600-900 quid a month to live like that - which is more than my parents pay on their mortgage by a long shot.

I like living with people - but i almost look forward to when they are away or not around so i can have the house to myself. Ideally i'd like to buy my own place but i refuse to spend 25 years paying off some shoebox.

So like the company of others, but crave my own space .... catch 22.

10000000% glad i moved out at 21 though. It was a defining moment in my life - and probably the best thing that ever happened to my relationship with my parents. It certaintly matures you a great deal, very quickly.

I live with my parents and two brothers. It basically is like living on my own, they let me do what i want, i have my own room that nobody goes in (because they can't). I basically pay board, get food/heating/well anything i need. I like my living arangements atm. Cant wait to fuck off to uni though :)

My mortgage on my beautiful, city centre, within conservation area, three bedroomed house in Newcastle is less than I pay to share a small two bedroomed flat in (reasonably central) London.

It's alright sometimes. I do get lonely though. I miss living with people like I did at Uni.
