As has been said, just don't speed if it annoys you so much.... Under current legislation, there has to be 3 deaths or serious injuries (KSI) in a certain spot before a camera can be erected, FACT.
Its bullshit, did u see topgear with the transport minister? One of the deaths on a certain road was a pissed bloke jumped off a bridge!!
Of course its bullshit, they don't actually make any profit from them!! Its just an anoyance, Its not preventitive!! I got caught but only found out 3 weeks later, how is that preventitive?? (Anyway, ive got away with all 3 of mine, lack of evidence)
I don't get your point? Revenues generated from speed cameras are HUGE, that's what part of the debate is all about. As for prevention, speed cameras are typically signposted. Oh and they are bright yellow. And theres markings on the road. Plus typically when someone gets done they will probably drive slower in future.... Lack of evidence how? Was it a mobile camera that caught you?
If you get caught with drugs then you'd have nothing to complain about. Same with speeding, if you're caught it's your own fault. Id sooner you pay for our shit government with speeding fines than have my tax go up.
I don't mind the fixed cameras, fair enough if there is a place that's dangerous get one in. It's the fucking sneaky mobile ones that get me (got me ) They put them in places where it's easy to catch people ie bottom of a hill where the limit is just about to end, dual carriageways where there are no pedestrians allowed. It's just a money making scam. you end up watching the speedo like a hawk in case you drift over and could mow down pedestrians as a result
According to the transport minister it costs more to maintain them, compared to the amount of money they generate. Yeah it was a mobile dude hiding behind a bush, they only take a pic of the rear number plate, ''I honestly couldn't tell you who was driving, I would be lying under oath if I said for certain it was me''
wow calm down people, it was just a funny thing i found I havent got any points (touch wood) my guardian angel slows me down in time for the greed cameras, every single time i've passed 1 they're has been a reason why i havent been cruising. I dont speed as such, i glide and if that gliding goes over the limit then so be it. BUT WAIT TILL THE MONSTER GETS OUT ON THE ROAD NEXT YEAR!:evil: I might get a few worthy points then.....lol
