London Underground..... Anybody else ever been lost on this?!!! What a nightmare.... a was visiting are lovley capital for a few days... Somehow managed to get meself lost, a was trying to get to Euston Square underground station....a landed at Euston station with me Oyster Card in me hand and a map of the underground in the other. A managed to get to the correct platform.. only to be told that Euston Square is actually an upperground station what a joke... why is it marked as station on the underground eh eh.... Thats my moan over......
The worst for me was coming back from a festival (which it's actually a little known fact that I've actually been to once or twice), by myself and being told that the station I needed was shut, even though I had about 30 minutes to get to kings cross. The bloke told me that I had to get a few different tubes, then there was talk of connecting tubes and different platforms, I nearly had a breakdown (still nothing on the breakdowns I'd witnessed that weekend though) oh and then I got to the station in time but found out I'd have to buy a new full price ticket because I'd been robbed. Great weekend that.
Tell me about it........ pure joke..... make matters worse, North Greenwich station was closed on saturday, which is the station facing the hotel where i was staying, had to get a taxi to the next tube station at Canary Wharf.. not bloody cheap either... all my careful planning went out the window............ Oh the joys, of the BIG SMOKE...........
If you think London Underground is complicated then you should try New Yorks Subway system no wonder theres so many taxis over there, its an absolute brainache
Euston Square is an underground station. However, you can't get directly to it from Euston station without going a long way around and having to change tubes. It is only about a minute's walk from Euston, so maybe that's what they meant.
Aye thats probs what they ment... it wasnt that far like.. only along the road.. i reckon its just me being arrogant geordie.....
