Marco V vs Mauro P....

this has been an on goin debate now for weeks between myself,Broony etc so lets find out who is the best once and for all!!!

I like both, but for me Marco V gets my vote........he's been outstanding everytime i've seen him, and his 2 recent album's have been a breath of fresh air of late!!!!

I like some Mauro Picotto stuff though!

At the moment i'd say Marco V. But against Picotto circa 1997-2000 then no contest.

Also, C:\del*.mp3 is very similar to Parade Drums

Difficulty choice. DJ'ing at the moment I'd say Picotto, producing at the moment Marco V.

considering picotto aint brought anything out for about 8 months marco's bound to win that one.

Exactly, I jst got the test pressing for Mauro's new EP on Primate so once that comes out in July post this thread again.

Mauro has done 2 gigs in the UK this year and none at promise since last September so when the both of them have just played you would be better doing it. On the production front Mauro has been pretty quiet with releases but wait till his stuff comes out on Primate.

but its a simple question, who's is the best overall producer/DJ???

Yelloboy is part of 'TEAM MAURO' so I cant see him saying anything else but Mauro, but what he does say he will back it up with 'FACT' aswell.

Like Spence said since i work with him my vote goes to Mauro but even if i didnt work with him and was just a fan i would still say Mauro.

Never really liked Marco V.

Mauro has worldwide appeal were as Marco dosnt so i think popularity really says it all but dont get me wrong, being popular dosnt automatically make you good.

Mauro has been around for years I dont buy records now but every so often I dust down the olduns(1994-2000 were my record buying days) and you would be surprised with how many records MP has made. I dont think MV has a histroy in producing like MP & as many different styles as MP, he has went from charty dance stuff to techno and everything else in between.

I would say more clubbers & non-clubbers have herd of Mauro than Marco V. I would also think if both were on the same bill Mauro would be the headline act.

DJ wise both rocked Promise so it hard to say who is better DJ wise so thats a score draw. I would also say on this msg board there are more MP fans than MV fans.

So I think MP wins
