    mark hughes to man city?

seems a strange one this, as he was being linked with the Chelsea job a few weeks ago. his name has also been mentioned for the Man U job when it eventually comes up.

Man City would have no stability as Erikison done a good job last season (despite the bad finish) and got the sack...

It looks inevitable to be honest :( Hughes wants to manage at the highest level possible and Man City has far greater potential than we have, he's already said he wants to speak to them. We're being quite strongly linked with Sam Allardyce as a replacement.

I wouldnt be going to City at the minute because you have no job stability. Didnt he put the whole team up for transfer a few months back. What a goon.

yeah same here. if i was richards, elano, johnson, hart and the other lads who have shown promise i would be looking to jump ship asap. the whole club seems to shambolic at the minute.

also if i was mark hughes i would be avioding city like the plague, he has a nice comfort blanket round him at blackburn at the moment (a novelty in the premiership nowadays) so why leave that for a club of similar stature? chelsea at least offer him the lure of champions league football, and a chance of the title

Apparently Hughes is on the Shortlist of 2 candidates for the Chelsea job...could be interesting!

Would be interested to hear what the Man City fans think about this personally.

Hughes has done well at Blackburn at a club punching above their weight in the top half of the prem, similar to what Allardyce did at Bolton.

Going somewhere like Man City with bigger expectations and a mental chairman is another ball game though, and personally if i was a Man City fan i would rather see someone experienced like Eriksson in charge than Hughes, who despite doing well at Blackburn has won fuck all and is a relatively young and inexperienced manager.

Thaksin is an idiot though, he will expect Hughes to come in and provide instant success, and he will no doubt have Hughes out the door when he inevitably cannot meet Thaksin's unrealistically high expectations.

I wonder what odds you would get on him being sacked by Xmas, defo worth a cheeky tenner
