i used to do 3 different types when i was younger and remember enjoying kung fu, does anyone know if there's any kung fu classes around newcastle?
i'm starting Thai or kick boxing and brazilian jujitsu soon aswell, it's mostly for keeping fit whilst learning something

does anyone else do any sort of martial arts?

alot of them like karate, kung fu etc don't even go full contact until you get to a higher level, and definately keep you fit

my mate is trying to get every1 to start kung fu, was round at his at the weekend an he was doing that thing where he collects/builds up the qi then you put your hands between his an it feels all warm and wierd...

but then again i was nicely wrecked so it might've just been that!

I do one called chi do. Its karate with loads of other styles hoyed in. Just recently got my yellow belt and goin for my green tag next month, the sparring really gets you fit like!

I've been wanting to start a martial art of some sort for ages, I just can't find anyone to go with me. All of my friends are too scared.

I dunno about the facial bit, but i sure know my way round a piece of paper.

Ive just got some books on Tai Chi im gonna read up about it and maybe take some classes

Whereabouts do you live like? It does sound intimidating starting off but most have very friendly atmospheres, i remember when i first started i couldnt walk hardly for a week
