agreed. i think after the recent changes in 2003 there was a general consensus that the situation had improved though. there has certainly been increased convictions, but it is a fine balancing act and i just hope they don't overcompensate.

it's still the lads word against the lasses...unless there are blatently obvious signs of rape on her how can it be proved...

it's now made harder by the sick women who cry rape just to sell their stories in the paper...

joking aside though, thats the point, consent can be even less than something verbal or written. it can be implied by your behaviour, which makes a mockery of this new idea.

could they say well no you deff weren't raped or will they still have to look deeper into it..

exactly, but also what if they then go back to eithers house, and they continue to be all over each other, before having sex. yet not once is their a conversation regarding consent. the next day they both have fairly vauge memories of previous nights events. has that woman been raped?

that's a damm hard question...if she was so pissed & passed out then he wouldn't have necessarily had to force himself on her & therefore there wouldn't b any bruising or signs that a rape had occurred :think:

That would be turfed straight out of court. Even if a girl went back with a guy it doesnt mean that he is entitled to have sex with her... perhaps she wanted to talk.

Do you have a conversation asking if they want to have sex with you? Can't say i ever have.... it is very often assumed which is where this new campaign is going to be extremely hard to convince people

if she was physically unconcious during any part of the act, it would automatically become rape, as consent can't be given by or inferred from someone who is unconcious.

also if the man had intentionally got her so drunk that consent could be inferred that would also constitute rape.

it is a total minefield.
