Mens clothes shopping in Newcastle

Do yo think for such a major city that the mens clothes shops in Newcastle are of a poor standard ? when you go to other parts of the country like Leeds Manchester Liverpool etc you get so many more shops offering a better and wider range of good clothes to purchase, Sunderland now has 5 really good mens clothes shops and i always shop there now, in Newcastle i can only think of Strand, Cruise 2 and Cruise (which is mainly suits and stuff) granted Newcastle has H&M and Topman etc but if anything decent comes in there u know that you are going to see about 800 people wearing it when you go out. is it just me or do any other lads find shopping in Newcastle for clothes very average ????

Thing is tho you only get other people wearing your clothes if you shop at Topman, Tucci, Usc etc.......

Newcastle isnt a patch on Leeds or Manc tho.

Leeds and Manchester have some quality little boutiques that sell good trainers jeans and t-shirts i definitley feel there is a need for shops similar to these in Newcastle

Fenwicks is probably my favourite for clothes, bought a fair bit from Union recently too.

I like Union ... Mavericks good too ... and id say use the net , find sites that have stuff on that hardly anyone else has got ... or do what i do sometimes and make your own ..

Amazing what a few bin bags and double sided sticky tape does ...

There where i mainly go, i cant be bothered with the attitudes in Strand or Cruise - I have bought a few T Shirts / Pants from Strand so its why its on the list

I agree about other cities tho being better - The Metro Centre is even more of a joke for mens clothes

I've never looked in Maverick for a long time to be honest Dave, its all too baggy for me

newcastle is wank for clothes, boro simply down to psyche is leaps ahead. however boro does score negative points for the utter fucking shite that is yakuza.

manchester, london and edinburgh are the places to shop in the uk. from what i've seen leeds has become fairly shit recently, even harvey nics has been toss.

Sunderland as i said before is now suprisingly good and has two stores that always finish very high in the FHM top 100 mens clothes shops in the country

Cruise 2 best shop in ncl. got upstair now aswell.

Fish in Jesmond is ok aswell...

all the retro shops like flip, re:, and vintage are gash now.. strand (+ flannels in leeds) have gone downhill.. they used to do some shithot maharishi stuff now its going the way of tucci... maverick used to have some nice stuff but now its all

fish is good but only if you wanna remortgage your house to buy a pair of trainers! (an even then you'd probs only get one)
