    More republican propoganda

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/northernireland/drama/holycross/

as if the protestant community in northern ireland wasn't villanised enough, here comes some wee wanker from media school thinking he'll take a really touchy subject, possibly inflame a volitile situation, get people beaten up or worse, just to make a name for themselves.

fuck sake, learn to leave well alone BBC:bang: :tut:

i can just see it now portraying the protestant people as some sort of ethnic cleansers and the catholics as innocent law obiding oppressed people. ITS NOT FUCKING ANYTHING LIKE THAT IN BELFAST. children should never be involved ,it is wrong but this will only be from one view point, and not take into consideration that there are scum on both sides. And people will see this , and assume that all prods are like that..................and i'm sick to death of english people telling me that i should'nt be there, all because they have 'seen it on TV'

    rant over

not that you're biased anyway, being an orangeman, or pre-judging it as it hasn't been shown yet!!!!

I remember the events well and thought it was disgusting the way young catholic kids were being terrorised by the protestant residents of the street for what??? walking down their street!!!

If it had been the other way round I would have been just as horrified.

i agree what went on was disgusting, but read my post again, my problem is with the bbc, i have read the synopsis for the program and it looks like it will turn out to protray the protestant community as all thugs. many of there productions have.

p.s. i'm not actually in the orange order............thats just TV making you think all prods are.

As you say you have seen it on tv, but that is just a secondary source

If that was going to happen why would the actors from Northern Ireland agree to make a programme to make their own people look like thugs???

I agree with Johntystar on this one  .

The progam is not needed and will end up with the same result as the bloody sunday CH 4 "dramas". It may stir debate on our tv's but just causes more problems.

This comment from the synopsis sums it up "Holy Cross is a fictional drama set within real events"

PLUS the burd out the commitments is in it and she is prisoner cell block H style ROTTEN!

At the end of the day, what they done was an act of thuggery so i think its fair that they should be portrayed that way. But, no one can make fair assumptions before its been aired.
