I think my Myspace account might have been hacked, a random bulletin has just been posted from me that I didnt write and I keep on getting loads of friend requests from random American lasses all trying to divert me to some internet dating site to see thier pictures :spangled:

Does anybody know what is wrong and how to sort it out??

this is why myspace is utter arse dribble.. it's full of holes! this and the fact that for most of yesterday it either didn't let you log in, or wouldn't let you send messages or comments..

no wonder everyone's on facebook..

Someone has just sent me a message telling me to go through my friend list and delete all the profiles that say "this profile no longer exists", the ones with a red cross. That should sort it apparantly. There is a cure after all, T'internet HIV can be defeated!

yeah I pointed that out, when you click anything in the top part of the page it takes you too that site. Proper crap like.

It's called 'phishing', if you have anything fancy on your myspace (even pictures on your main profile page) they can somehow hack your account. I read about it months ago but loads of people are getting it latley, bulletins with titles like "free halloween candy".

does it ever work?? I'd be fuming if I were paying for ad space..

I had this same problem

how to fix - Go to your home page - edit account then in your "about me" section at the bottom of the box there should be a bunch of script. Delete the the script and voila its sorted.

if you are not very confident doing this copy what info which is your in your about me section and delete the rest.

Curly's right its a form of hacking - Phishing
