through following a particular scene really

i hear about all the new bands through seeing them supporting bigger bands at gigs, through NME, zane lowe, word of mouth, mtv2, annie mac

for instance, i first came across The Automatic cos they supported hard-fi last october

    liked em ever since

the sunshine underground, i saw their video on mtv2 ages ago, now i love them and i will follow them

Yeh I suppose i just don't follow what I read about. I hardly go to any gigs anymore so thats another reason i guess. One of my best mates at home used to do me CD's with all new music on once a month for me to pick things out, but i hardly see him anymore with living so far away... :(

will keep my ear out! :)

what paul said... read features/ reviews and previews in the broadsheets - the guide especially and the better end of magazines, radio one, films, general internet, lists on amazon, myspace music, bands I've seen at glastonbury or supporting other acts...

I love the misguided anger people like stephen have against me, his little wobble about hating erol alkan on necl was comedy gold...

tbh he's right that erol mix i thought was turd, it was full of annoying sounds, he may know loads about the history of music shame he can't play it though, that's just my opinion though ofcourse ;)
