Lost Boy: In search of Nick Drake

Anyone else listen to this show on Radio 2 on Saturday? Brad Pitt presented it - turns out Nick Drake is one of his favourite artists. Anyway, basically, Nick Drake is a genius and probably my favourite artist. It is only now, 30 years after his death that he is getting the recognition he deserves. His lyrics and music have helped a lot of people, including me, and I highly highly recommend his music. I sumbled on his music five years ago when there was a documentry about him late one night on BBC 2. He is the most talented acoustic guitar player I've heard. Enough of the praise! :worship:

Duran Duran, REM, The Cure, Paul Weller, Badly Drawn Boy, Ocean Colour Scene, Blur all cite Drake as a huge influence.

the hype is more justified in Drake's case, really don't get the whole Buckley thing. Five Leaves Left is a great album, a fine artist indeed.

oh and yes, OCS are derivative toss
