    Nooooooooooooo

Got up this morning at about seven. In bed, night out last night. The bed was all warm and fluffy and snuggly, and for a bonus, ness was there too. I literally dragged myself up out of bed, to the loo, in the freezing cold stone floor with no slippers on. Get back to the bedroom - putting on last nights clothes, like the dorty stop out I am. Goes outside, in the cold, tries to start the car, and after a couple of attempts, it starts. Ive ran out of petrol, so again, get out of the cold car into the freezing petrol station and fill up, enduring scornful looks from other motorists along with the petrol station attendant. Drive home, as the car is still heating up, so putting the blowers on lowers the temp in the car for about 5 mins. Eventually the windscreen clears properly as I pull into my street.

Get in, have a bowl of nutritious and more to the point, quick, bran, then get dressed (this term I use loosley, I mean chuck a jumper on) and hop in the car to go to work. I stop at the shop to pick up my artillery. One copy of some cheap and chatty magazine with mindless shite about "I found jesus in my roasting tin" and other such poppycock, and one diet coke. I get into work.

    It is dark

There is no one else there

IT IS FUCKING CLOSED TODAY - which BTW, no-one decided to tell me about. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH no.

i can't im on christmas duty now. :( You know the crack madly cleaning, much wrapping to do, labels to write, food prep, STILL have to go to town to pick stuff up (THANK YOU ARGOS RING AND RESERVE, THANK YOU) drop pressies off etc etc.

AAAAAAAAAAAH will this madness never end!

i cant remember being more upset. I know like, there are people far worse off, you know, dying of rancid diseases and flesh eating bugs, starving 3rd world countries, but it just seems to pail into insignificance compared to getting up when you dont have to.

I woke up this morning to find a note from the Royal Mail, City Link and DHL telling me that my girlfriends presents for her birthday (boxing day) will not be readily available for pick up till the 28th...

I'm gutted.. firts lie in off work this year and they deliver at 7am, 7.45am and 8.40am.

    I could cry.

A couple of years ago when I was a fully fledged student I was working frequent late shifts in eldon square on a Thursday night.

One night after college I went straight to work for 3.30 and thought I was doin a 5 - 8 shift..

It got to 6.30 and the boss called me into the office.. and pissed himself laughing when I got in there and he informed me that I wasn't supposed to be there.

What a bastard that was.. coulda been at the pub :(
