What is it like? I have applied for uni down there and the course is supposedly excellent...

Its either Nottingham or Northumbria really as they are looking to be two of the best...

I have also applied for Kent as very little uni's ran the course I have chosen!

Anybody stayed down there, even been clubbing down there? Ive been once before ages ago but can barely remember.

I've only been once to Crasher at N/ICE. Stayed in a hotel but didn't see much of the City. It seemed OK tho.

The course at Nottingham is marketing and communication Ive heard loads of good things about it

Do they? I think although Ive heard its pretty rough it seems quite nice. N if the course is good!

Dunno about Kent though! I heard its quite nice there too though.

My best friend is at Nottingham and she absolutely loves it, it's a campus Uni and everyone seems to know everyone, she said it was so easy to make friends etc and when I went to visit it was a million times better than mine

Nottinghams a nice place, just avoid the rough estates, such as St Anns and Meadows and im sure it will be fine

some decent clubs there as well- rescue rooms, stealth, the bomb

had some crackin record shops back in the day

good uni's in the area too... not a bad place!

two of my best mates from school went to trent and loved it, really student orientated friendly city.. and your no distance from brum, leeds and leicester for venues...

a couple of girls I went to school with when I lived down south did a similar course at ravensbourne... shes got her work featured in dazed and the likes..

uni is pretty pointless if you stay at home so I'd say go for nottingham.. theres a lot more going on than in newcastle..

Nottingham's quality! My bro's lived there for 10 years now and he loves it. I've been out there few times to various places and it's always been a good night. Got plenty of decent night clubs too. Shopping in Nott's is good enough for anybody and if you love music and vinyl there are loads of decent independant retailers

Northumbria has probably one of the best fashion departments in the counrty.

Nottingham is a shithole and rough as fuck. Our mate ali was doing fashion in Manc and shes moved back up here to study at northumbria next year as its worlds apart.

Nottingham uni will be shit and you will hate it and theplace will be rubbish so I think you shopuld stay here and not leave me

2 of my mates are doing nultimedia courses down there, the unis menna be mint for multimedia and northumbrias menna be shat for it. your better off asking gowansy as he was at northumbria then went to nottingham.

if you do go to notts dont stay at meridian court, its shit, 2 miles from the uni and surrounded by the shit estates.

ive been down ther a few times clubbing, theres som canny bars aswell. some nights are a bit dodgy as there ran by wannabe ganstas (firefly @ marcus garvy centre aka the ballrooms)

Yep. If you get a place there, take it. You will miss out on the fun of being away from home, but it should be worth it for the course.

A friend of mine did the course years ago, and within about five years was one of Fila's top designers.
