Old Hardcore Tunes ID I'm 99% sure it was on Ruffneck records but not produced by Ruffneck, quite a hard dark tune with the vocals along the lines of - ''You think you got the power, bring your punk ass to the tower'' Help? I need the vocal sample.
Re: Re: Old Hardcore Tunes ID I will try and ring him tonight, ths sample is needed. It was a pretty big tune.
got this in the house.... but not played it for years! sounded a bit like one that Paul Elstak did with the "die like a pig" sample.
That was back in the day before I was old enough to know better Got a whole box full or Rotterdam Records, Midtown Records and the like. Used to be well into it, but prefer my beats about 100 bpm slower these days at 130.
Aye. Its the same guy - Wedlock, Jugernaught, Overmind, cybernators, DJ Ruffneck, Keng, Lock Jaw, Morlock, Overmind, Undercover Anarchist and many more. He's had other guises on RuffTek,which is a Dutch drum & bass label ! His current guise is DJ Mindcontroller playing hardstyle and Ruffneck have started doing oldstyle PA's in Holland again. I've tried to get him over here to do an oldskool Ruffneck PA but he was wanting a crazy amount of money, a limoseane (how you spell it ?) and a 5 star hotel !! He said he loves the crowds in Scotland & NE England but doesnt like all the backstage madness that used to go on !
Thanks again, I want the sample for a track. Its from a film too but I can't remember which one, some American homeboy type affair.
The 'original' Ruffneck PA, which I saw at the Fubar in about 96, is still to this day one of the best live acts I have ever seen. Had there original MC, and it was fuckin awesome! Im sure you were there aswell Smurf. Rob Gee, Rythmic State, Bassy G, Neurotek were all on aswell.
going to keep all my records till I'm old and grey. FInd it hard gettiing rid of records that used to mean something to me even though I don't play them anymore. Still get them out for a spin at home about once year.
