Own tracks pressed at chemical records........

Vinyl dubplates are the latest development in dubplate technology. Using a combination of specially made vinyl plates, and a state of the art cutting lathe, these plates have the look and feel of a dubplate, but with the durability of heavy vinyl pressings.

Vinyl Dubplate :: The Ultimate Dubplate :: £60.00
    (£51.06 exc VAT)

Get your own tunes cut on to vinyl - our new vinyl dubplate cutting service lets you upload your files or send them to us on a CD to get them cut on to a high quality vinyl dubplate.
Made of thick black vinyl, the plates are processed using pioneering studio technology to give an extremely flat frequency response from 20hz to 20 khz, at levels of over +6db. So with no sound loss at high or low frequencies, these plates stand up well alongside commercial 12 inch records.

The plates are hard-wearing too. They don't chip or bend if you drop them, and you can cue up, rewind and scratch with them as often as you like - and unlike acetates you can even clean them with vinyl cleaner and they wont degrade.

    Supported Formats:

The recommended track length is 7.00 minutes. The absolute maximum track length that can be cut is 7.30 minutes. The table below lists the supported file formats -

    Formats Maximum Upload File Size
    .mp3 ~25MB
    .wav ~100MB

JavaScript must be enabled in your
    internet browser to upload files.

    Technical Specifications:

    Format: 12 inch, 2mm thick
    Weight: 180 gram
Track time: 7:00 min per side recommended (7:30 absolute maximum)
    Frequency range: 20hz - 20khz
Recording level: +6Db (minimum peak level)
This new pioneering technology is the latest development in dub plate cutting, providing digital precision and using a
    special long lasting material.

it's a good idea, but i'd rather play my stuff on cd until its released (even then i still play it on cd when the pressings are fucked up lol)

lets u try something out before its absolutely finished too whereas the pressing would be final, 60 quid is a lot of money for a record you may hate in a couple weeks

sounds like they've got a Vestax Vinyl Cutter

    Cost about £6000

    Blanks are about a tenner

But...the sapphire stylus costs about £250 and needs replacing every 20 hours of cutting...

im pretty sure they aren't cut, they are proper dubplate efforts. ill ask brisky next time i speak to him.

at a guess i would imagine the monster tunes records are pressed on that machine, and they are fuckin mint vinyls to be fair.
