Paris ? charlotte's apparently taking me to paris for my bday in december, and i havent a clue about the place anyone been, and whats there to do bar the obvious eiffel tower banter ? cheers
Apart from the usual touristy stuff (Which are highly recommended) Go to The Rex club, its Laurent Garniers club l had a few good nights in there, its on rue du poisson l think (Fish Street in english )
Ooh ohh we're going to Paris at Christmas too!! But dont be lazy and look on the tourist website or get a guide book
1st to the 3rd i think and scotty aye ive had wufc and sdk on the fone they've sorted some top backjumps
Ohh I'm off to Paris in about 10 days....cant wait! Will let you know what we got up when we're back We're defo off to Disneyland tho, cant wait to be a big kid and go on all the rides!! hehe! Think were just gonna do the eiffel tower, a river cruise (which i'm told is very good), louvre museum, a nice french meal somewhere and just walking about to take in the culture!
i went in '92 with school/college - i can't remember - but i got drunk on michelob and lost all my money on that big square that over looks the eiffel tower. let me know if you find it. oooo i went to that place with the pipes and shit on the outside. and that church on the island.
Seriously, check as much of the architecture out as you can. Places like the arc'de triumph are beautiful. I found the little things like that made a trip to paris (and france) more paletable. Just try and have as little contact with the French as possible, horrible people.
I did the river cruise, was really good, you can get some fab pictures. especially notre dame as it's right in the middle of the river seine, amazing! wrap up warm tho, I was freezing, and I went in October. the architecture there is fantastic, best places to visit are Eiffel tower obviously( but watch out for the dodgy men trying to sell you things and pickpocket you) l'Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame, Champs Elysees, we also visited the Diana memorial sight, and briefly past the Louvre, but didn't have time to go in. loads of touristy things to do. Be careful if you go into the smaller cafés etc, as they have quite a bad opinion of the english and most of the time don't have the time of day for you. learning a few key french phrases always goes down a treat with them I'm hoping to get back over sometime over christmas to take Jay as he's never been
nahhh a family went into the tunnel and got photos taken next to the pillar she crashed into, personally dont see the attraction like
Thankyou!! Lots of useful information...i cant wait now Didnt think it would be that cold in Oct, think i'll take my warm winter coat, hat and gloves!! haha! Thanks again
Beautiful place, horrible people, the french in general i have no problem with, but the parisians are snobby and arrogant.
